DID YOU KNOW?

WHY 4:13 Ladies Inc.?

There are life altering situations that happen to youth that they have no control over. Where they live, trauma or  abuse. They don’t get to choose or opt out of bad situations as a minor, a mother, or a wife. They often have to play the hand they are dealt in life. Survival becomes the ultimate goal, which in turns stunts their growth and/or personal development.

When they are homeless, when they are the caretaker for their parents due to drug abuse, when they lose a parent, when they are a ward of the state, when they age out of foster care, when they grow up in poverty drug infested environments, when they have been the victim of abuse, when they experience loss of a spouse or misaligned identity, these external factors damage the self- esteem, identity, individuality, self preservation and their ability to have hope for their future.

4:13 Ladies Inc. was birth from many of the hardships listed above in the life of the CEO/President of the organization. Living a transformative life she now understands that all those hardships were not her fault, she understands that those situations don’t define who she is and she no longer has to be who others said she was. Her individuality is a gift to the world by God and she was created by Him with purpose. She wants to help youth who have experienced loss, homelessness, hardships and trauma become confident, learn to trust, transform their lives successfully transition to independence and restore hope for their futures.

The mission of 4:13 Ladies Inc is to invest in youth and empower them to live a transformative life of greatness.  Project Chryasalis will expand the servant reach of 4:13 Ladies, by empowering youth who have aged out of foster care by providing them with housing, mentorship, education and employability skills.
